I cannot believe we are heading into another year. What a blessing this journey has been thus far. In the beginning I thought that my love and commitment for this WCE team was strong. But, I could not have predicted how much my love and commitment would continue to grow over the past two years. I am so proud to be a part of WCE. I am honored to continue to serve the needs of our teams. I have every intention of continuing to grow this organization to better serve our clients, makers and all of our teams for as long as they will let me. I will be dedicating much of 2023 to growing our investor team, increasing our stakeholders and continuing to crowd-fund. Our makers deserve a big launch and I intend to do everything I can to create a team to provide the funds to do so.

I’ve been involved in World Community Exchange from the moment Rosie presented her vision. I KNEW I wanted to be part of it. It’s hard to believe that the meetings and all the talk turned into the current store. I was a nurse who worked with people with brain tumors. I knew nothing about business, but it turns out that nursing and business aren’t as far apart as I first thought. The journey has been amazing. The Board of Advisors I’m privileged to work alongside is incredible. Their energy, enthusiasm and knowledge leave me in constant awe. Combine that with the commitment and dedication of the makers who have been with us from the beginning as well the spirit of the new makers just coming onboard. WOW. To be honest the mission and vision may have hooked me, but what keeps me coming back are the people and the experiences.

I have been with The World Community Exchange for over a year now. I am also a shareholder. This organization is important to me because it gives the makers around the world with few outlets to sell their work and make a living at what they do, an outlet to do so and to assist them to spread their work to a much broader audience. In my new capacity as the Maker Advisor, it will be my mission to help the makers understand the process and allow them to make the income they should be receiving from the purchasers of their goods. Artists and creators have always been only half paid for the work they do after the middlemen took their cut and percentage. It is the Mission of WCE to assure the makers of their full profit for their work. I hope to assist in this work for years to come.

I started to become part of WCE when someone here put trust and faith in me. And this is no other than our Rosie Rey. I am on the Leadership Team, but I don’t feel that I am just an employee. Because they treat me as a family, they are worried about my family too. Here at WCE there is no employer-employee relationship. Everyone will treat you as a family no matter what your nationality is.
These are the reasons why I fell in love with this team. I promise to myself that I will do my best to contribute to our mission. I am so thankful that I found this team and I am now a part of it.
